Homemade Ice Cream In-A-Bag

We'll here is one of the things that we can say has been marked off the Summer Bucket List . This is from the "Kool Stuff" part of the List and we had a BLAST making it... Homemade Ice Cream In-a-Bag .

 

Here are the pictures of what we did to make the Ice Cream.  If you are anything like our mom, you need a visual of what you are doing! ...lol....lol....lol.. :)

what you need:

1. 1 quart size ziplock bag

2. 1 gal. size ziplock bag

3. 1/2 C. milk

4. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

5. 1 tablespoon sugar

6. 6 tablespoons of salt

7. 2 C. of ice cubes (1 ice tray worth)

INGREDIENTS... NOT THE BEST PICTURE...Sorry !

   Take the Quart Size Bag, and add the milk,vanilla and the sugar and zip tight. Set aside.

Take the Gal. Size Bag, and add the ice and the salt. 

Place the milk bag in the ice bag and zip closed.

Just BEFORE Shaking ! 

shake about 5 minutes

take a towel and hold around the bag as we shaked it,because it was really        COLD !

Walla !! you have Homemade Ice cream ....

I had cut a "Small" Slit in the Corner of the bag and squeesed it out into a bowl for me.... because it was easier for me to hold with Cerebral Palsy hand to hold..

 Oh yes We "DOUBLED" the milk,sugar ,and vanilla when we made this for Dad and Our Brother ! They are BIGGER eaters in the family and that goes for sweets too:)

Our Summer Bucket List

Well Summer is here and Mother doesn't want us "just sitting around" the house and doing "nothing' , So she asked us to sit down and make a list of a few things that we might like to do over the Summer. Here is what we came up with and then mom broke it up into a different list. like, Crafts,Adventure,Outdoor, and Kool Stuff...

"LAST DAY " OF SCHOOL... Yah !

We are getting ready to head off to the VERY LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR THE 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR ! ,  But it is a VERY SPECIAL DAY  for Our Brother ..... He Graduates from High School and that means that TODAY  is the 1st Day of the LAST DAY for everything he does in School Today ! No more Classes, Test, Teachers, Tardies and Calls to the Office ! The PA Speaker will No Longer shout his name as he comes in LATE  to Class or The Principle decides that he needs that "little talk" Lol...lol...lol...lol...lol...

We are so proud of Our Brother and We are very happy that he made it this far ! WTG Braceyon Have a WONDERFUL LAST DAY  :)

Are U Smarter Than A 5th Grader?

We Have No Idea ! Well, Maybe a little.... We are 5th graders,so I guess that the ?? would be..."Are We Smarter than Ourselves"? lol...lol...lol...better yet Smarter than each other? heheheee :O)

We will just have to wait and see I guess ! We have just SURVIVED the 1st Week of School and We are still here and 100% intact :O) That has to count for something ... right? Our Teachers are still "Sane" and we managed to get thru the Week with NO conduct cuts....... hahahahaaaaaO). Mom says that was no easy task and she is right on the money.

Speaking of Money We asked Dad for a "Raise" in allowance money , since We were such "Perfect Angels" @ School This Week and He said "No" We would have to do MORE than be angels the 1st week to get a "Raise". So What do ya Do to get a raise?

Cheyenne and I are going to have to figure a few things out here. We know,since we are in a situation where we CAN'T switch classes to take the Test that the "Other" is SMARTER IN....... because we are IN THE SAME CLASS THIS YEAR !!! Oh, Yes !!! that is ALL CLASSES TO.... We have like 6 Teachers and We have them ALL @ THE SAME TIME !!!

I guess now we know that Mother knew what she was doing ,when she made sure that we were in THE SAME CLASSES together. We NEVER thought of the things that We weren't going to get to do... Now that we are together...UNTIL NOW THAT IS !!!! OK! Mom is smart and this is really a bummer thing. We have alot of "sneaky" planning to do. That is if We are going to make it thru the 5th Grade.

Before I close. I wanted to make a note that We are changing the Blog Look and the Theme is..... "Are U SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER" ?

Tuesday...(Kool-Aid Project) Note

I am just posting for the Twins to let you know that they haven't forgotten the Christmas Project #2. The Camera went crazy on them earlier and the only picture that took was of the "Dry Ingredients" with the "Red" Kool-Aid. We will try to get these up here before Thursday,but Mom is very busy with this being the last Week before "Christmas Break",so I don't know how fast these will get here!!

Courtney and Cheyenne are very excited about this project and We can still "smell" the cherry scent from the kool-aid on our hands !!!

OUR GIANT *HANDMADE SNOWFLAKES*

HI,
Well, It's almost Christmas here and we thought that we would start ringing in the cheer of things with the posting of the few projects that we are doing for the Christmas Season.

Today, We are making Snowflakes to hang in the windows through out the house. We learned how to do these thru Our Teacher and asked mom if we could try them here and she said "yes"..... :O)

If you would like to know how these are done step for step please email us and we will send you pictures with step by step instructions. These were so easy and we had a ball doing them. Hope that you like them. Stay tuned for more coming soon.

Christmas Projects Start Tomorrow !~

Hello,
We hope that you all are starting off the Christmas Season on the cheerful note. We have decide with the help of mom and a few teachings from our teachers to share the Christmas Projects that we are doing.

Starting Tomorrow We will have the first of @ least 5 Projects to share. We are hoping that mom or mystea help with posting of pictures for a step by step look @ things.

Hi,

THANKSGIVING CAME EARLY (FOR US ANYWAY)

Hello,
We have to get to bed because its WAY PAST THE BEDTIME, but we seen that Mom hadn't posted here about "Our early gift',so we asked if we could and with the help of Mystea and Braceyon here we are making a post.

On Monday night just after 7 pm while we were @ Church our 3 year old Morkie "Stori" had 5 puppies and they were all little girls. They are the traditional black and brown ,but they are very tiny. We were praying that they would be here before Thanksgiving and they were. WE ARE SO HAPPY :o)

They are the sweetest things and we want to get pictures up on here,but the ONLY CAMERA working is the one on bubba's phone and its just not the best. Mystea will work on getting pictures up here over the weekend,maybe tomorrow after we get home from school,but we don't think that they are going to feel very much like pictures after they get back from the vet (they have their tails cut and nail clipped).

We know that we wouldn't want camera's in our faces either. !!!!!

Anyway We just wanted to post the news,because we GOT OUR THANKSGIVING WISH,NOW WE ARE WORKING ON THE CHRISTMAS WISH !!!!

THE BIRTHDAY GIRL !`

Good Morning,

It's late or early ...... however you want to look @ it,but I wanted to make a post here while Mom is making hers on her blog before we turn in for the night.

Here is a picture of Our Nana with her Birthday Cake just after she walked in on it..You should have seen Our Mom's eyes when she went to get the cake from where Dad had put it,and IT WASN'T THERE !!!

I thought that she was going to have a cow and blow the suprize,before we even got started !!! Dad thought that it was funny watching Mom sweat over it all...lol...lol...lol...lol...,but thankfully WE PULLED IT OFF !!!! ,and for those of you that know Our Nana.... you know that she isVERY HARD TO SUPRIZE !!!!!

Anyway, the cake here was made with the colors that my brother chose and the # of "roses"have a meaning behind them. Nana has 7 Children, but the "roses" were ment for the # of Grandchildren that she has and thats 26 !!!!!

Ok, I am off here because Mom is telling me that I need to get the lights off. School does come early ,so better get started with the ZZZZZZZZ'S ...lol...lol...lol....

I really am BAD @ the POSTING THING here. I seen that it says that I have NOT POSTED since April 9th. I have posted on my other sites,I just thought that I had here too. Anyway..... Sorry that I didn't !! this one isn't going to be much since its as LATE as it is,or EARLY... However you may see it. I will ,or Mystea will post Pictures of The Puppies that are NOW 3 WEEKS OLD !!! sometime later TODAY!!!



I hope that you all have a great weekend and you enjoy your time with what seems to make you happy. I am going to do the same by enjoying my time outside , if the weather lets me. I plan on taking advantage of the fact that I have NO DAUGHTERS under my feet and NO RUNNING IN AND OUT OF THE HOUSE... lol...lol...lol... Thanks to My Mother, they are spending the night with her and I have NO IDEA when they are coming home.... They are in NO HURRY to either. The Girls love it @ Mom's....

@ least that is the general idea :O)....... The Boys are working and the Twins have Cleaning Chores for the weekend and Mystea has ALL COOKING DUTIES . so I get OFF, BUT rest assured that I have another FULL TIME JOB.... Called Referring. That is a VERY HARD and TESTY JOB.... "STRESS" WILL BE THE #1 THING THAT GETS TESTED ~~~~~~~~ , Or should I say "Patients" will be the #1 thing to get tested.... ":O)



How We make it thru the Weekend will be a testy one,so I will post Monday ,so then you will know that "WE MADE IT"..lol...lol...lol.....



I have to run ...Its late and I have taken My Night Meds,I have to get up early with Mystea and her ballgame.

Good Afternoon !!! just thought that I would get on here while I could W/O anyone under my feet. We made it thru Easter lol..lol...lol... It was a VERY GOOD EASTER!!




The kids hunted eggs without any majors and there was NO FOOD left from cooking out.... The beautiful day allowed us to visit on the patio as we watched the kids blow bubbles,play games and eat thier candy. Oh yes and the water gun fight... heehehee:O)



Everyone was gone by 3pm,except for my family. I stayed to help with the clean up and visit mother while Richard was sleeping (had to work last night),and Braceyon was still @ work,so I needed to stay in til after he got off. It was a PERFECT TIME to visit mom. Walking the yard and watching the Twins play in the sand. Thier bath water was BLACK last night !!!!



They were really good and created thier own playtime... I know that kids can be creative and play with nothing but a box and be happy,because thier imagination is what TAKES them to the adventure,last night was a prime example of that... some call it a "Country Kids" life...



They took a bag of sand that my father had gotten... I believe that it was the bag that was in the back of the truck to help way down the truck bed... Well, my DD decided that they were going to make THEIR OWN "Sand Box",by dumping the sand in a BIG HOLE that had been created by our trucks from the snow and muddy mess... Thats what you get from having a DIRT DRIVEWAY....Living in the Country !~ :O)



Anyway they filled that hole and found a bucket and a little shovel and played for hours...Any other time they probably would have been running in and out of the house and right under our feet.



I hope that you all had a good Easter and that the work week started off well. I have to run and get a few other things done before the angels get home and the sibling fights start. I will post here on Wed,until then HAVE A GREAT ONE AND GOD BLESS :o)

Happy Easter... Early :O)

Good Morning :O).... Early here Way Early, but I was up and thought that I better get on here and post ,because I have NO IDEA if I will get to Sunday.....




We are going to mother's and as We usually are... busy and A FULL HOUSE that day. The kids are excitred and I think mother is about to burst at the seams:O)... She LOVES every minute that she can get with her Grandkids and when We all can get together and bring them in, is right up her alley. I think @ this point there are just going to be 12 of the 25 Grandkids that my parents have,but trust me thats STILL A HANDFUL !!!



We all bring colored eggs as well,as plastic "Prize" eggs for each one of our kids , so there are usally ALOT of eggs ... I don't think that the Easter Bunny makes as many as We as a Family do...lol...lol... Mother decided along time ago ,that since there were so many Grandkids and it was hard to try to make ENOUGH for ALL her babies ,That each one of Us (PARENTS) would need to make sure that there was @ least a dozen eggs per child.... That means that for me there were 48 eggs to Color .YIKES!!! This Year however I get out with just coloring 24,Thats because my older 2 are not just TOO BIG for the EASTER BUNNY,but because they have other plans...WORK!!!



We have 42 eggs FILLED for prize eggs ALREADY,Later Tonight We will color the 24 and then Mother is filling ?? amout of the 70 plastic eggs that Richard and Braceyon took to her last night.



My Mother thinks that the Kids are NEVER to old and would prefer that they ALL HUNTED EGGS. The Twins are to old,but Mother see's them STILL AS HER BABIES !! so there was No telling Mom that they weren't hunting eggs. They weren't alone in that one either,a few other Nieces and a Nephew are hunting to because of Mom...



They are all growing up to fast !!!! All of the Grandkids are TEENAGERS,except for about 10 of them,but with just the 12 that are coming Sunday,there are just like 6 that are NOT Teenagers !!!! Poor Mother ... they are all growing FASTER than she likes.



Well, Anyway... I hope that you all have a "Happy Easter",and NO Daddy's the "Prize" Eggs are NOT YOURS !!! lol...lol...lol... I had to say that ,because My Brother's,Husband,and Father KEEP the Eggs for themselves....THEY ARE A MESS... You would think that they were the KIDS... OK !! We all know that MEN are BIG KIDS !!! and mine has to be the WORST !!!!!! TRUST ME:o)



I will get back on here when I get the chance,but I am not sure when that will be.. I'm off to bed now that the girls are finished Watching "The New Moon", and can get my bedroom back !!! heheeee:O)... There was NO WAy that I was getting in that bed with those 3 in there... lol......lol...lol...

Hello !!! Well this is the Last Day of February and that means that March is HERE faster than I can keep up with. I think that as the Year goes by the Months just FLY BY ME !!!!...lol...lol...lol...lol.. I really have to get faster or re-schedule my life... hahahaaaa :O)

Funny Huh? have you seen this Family on a "Schedule". I mean a REALLY TIGHT ONE... sure thats really going to happen. We are on a Schedule, but there is ALWAYS something,or someone that makes sure that the schedule is CHANGED . Let me be a little more specific "TWINS", would that be a clearer way for saying things? I can tell you that they always find a way to change things up. Oh !~ Thats the joys of being a parent and @ that a way to keep things in this house VERY INTERESTING to say the least.


I have NO Idea why the Lord chose me to be the Mother of such Wonderful Angels, but I am VERY HAPPY that he did. I learned that could do ALOT MORE than I give Myself credit for,or what other people thought that I wouldn't be able to do... I DID IT ,and I am Very Proud of that.

Well, As the post started out saying that this is the Last Day of Feb,and I better get the things ready for the FIRST OF THE MONTH,so I better get running here. I was just posting here @ the Idea-Scrap Station to see what I needed to added or take from. Leave Me a Note and tell Me what you think. Remember its just "Idea's" that are roaming here ,so there are places that you may see that LOOK UNFINISHED !~
